Updated: Jan 21

I don't know about you, but I like having a list of books that are releasing! Usually I have a notes app filled with this. I figured why not share my compilation with all of you! Let's break down each New Release!

Starting off strong with this one- Honestly, this gives me The Favorites by Layne Fargo vibes, (the drama, and I'M HERE FOR IT.)

Family Drama – Rebecca Fallon

Release Day - February 3, 2026

Goodreads ratings so far- 3.83/5 with 123 reviews.

This is a debut novel

New England Beach, it's a snowy 1997. Two seven-year-olds watch as their mother’s body falls overboard a crumbling boat!

They give their mother a Viking funeral (I had to look this up - A Viking funeral is when someone’s body is placed on a boat and the boat is set on fire as it drifts away. It’s meant to symbolize honoring the dead, sending them off with power, dignity, and drama). Resulting in the end of Susan Bliss, soap opera star; leaving two little girls without a mother.

Fifteen years earlier, Alcott, a practical professor, falls hopelessly in love with Susan. Susan lives a double life, a wife and mother to twins, and a career in Los Angeles.

Present day, Susan’s twins grow up in the shadow of her absence. Sebastian, a sensitive artist, holds strong to her mother's memory. Obsessed with all the artifacts of her past.

Viola, resentful of her mother, distances herself from the memories of her.

Viola runs into her mother’s old costar Orson Grey—now a renowned Hollywood star— and she finds herself falling deeply in love with him and begins to put together the pieces of a mother she never really knew.

Each timeline adds new meaning to the other. What you learn in the past changes how you see the present, and what you see in the present makes the past hit harder.

Next up, Thriller-

It's Not Her - Mary Kubica

Release Day - February 3, 2026

Goodreads Ratings - 4.42/5 with 996 Ratings

Two families vacationing at a secluded lake resort are at the center of a chilling crime and mysterious disappearance. Say less.. I'll read it based on this sentence alone, amiright?

Courtney Gray's tranquil family vacation (this is how I know this is a book, no FAMILY vacation is tranquil!!) is shattered when she hears a straight fear scream from the cottage next door. She goes running, because in books we run to the danger... She finds her brother and sister-in-law... deceased. Her teenage niece Reese (rhyming... deceased... Reese? see what i did there?) is nowhere to be found. (sus... obvs.) Somehow her nephew Wyatt, not only stays asleep, but is uninjured. Questionable... but proceed, Lady Kubica... ya girl is already hooked.

The police start sniffing around, and well, disturbing secrets about Courtney’s family start to come out. When Courtney learns that the town has secrets of its own, it makes her wonder if Reese is a victim (because girl is gone) in a brutal crime or if she’s the killer. *GASPS*

A truth no one could have imagined… As Courtney begins to unravel the terrible mystery, she realizes that everyone around her has something to hide. The closer she gets to the truth, the harder it is to see… cue the Law and Order sound effects.

Picking this shizz up ASAP.

Good Intentions - Marisa Walz

Release Date - February 3,2026

Goodreads Ratings - 3.96/5 with 423 Ratings

This is a debut novel

A tale as old as time, a luxury party planner has one random encounter in a hospital waiting room, next thing you know, she's obsessed.

Cady, said luxury party planner, has it all: thriving business, highschool sweetheart, and a full social calendar (yuckkk). She also has a twin sister, who's been her best friend. Cady gets a call that her twin, Dana, was in a serious accident. Cady rushes to the hospital, but she's too late. Dana passed, and Cady's world falls apart.

Clearly, everyone is worried about Cady. Not for the reasons we think though. Cady met Morgan at the hospital. She was going through her own tragedy at the exact same time as Cady. She doesn't believe in coincidences, which makes her go off the deep end. She decides she must help Morgan overcome her tragedy, so Cady can move on from her twin's death. Is this legit, or is Cady just a little mentally unwell after her twin's death? hmmm hard one to answer. Not a hard one to decide: I must read this!

Can't leave out Fantasy/Romantasy, because *swoon*

Queen of Faces Book 1 - Petra Lord

Release date - February 3,2026

Goodreads Ratings - 4.14/5 with 448 Ratings

Even cooler- this is a deluxe limited edition, which you know how we all feel about that!

A magical academy? A desperate girl becomes an asssasin for the enchanted elite or dies? I don't even need more information... I will give it, for scientific purposes, of course, but I'm already convinced.

Annabelle is trapped in a male body, (whaaa?) but this body is rotting. She lives in Caimor, and the magical elite are body swappers? They buy and swap designer bodies! (I better stay away from Caimor, I have a designer body,*tucks hair*, I wouldn't be safe. *winks with both eyes*)

Annabelle fails the entrance exam for the Paragon Academy, which means she can't get a new body. She decides (ya know desperate times, desperate measures, and all that) she will steal a healthy chassis before her body kills her soul. Obviously, she's caught, and this Professor guy decides that he will use this to his advantage. She has to face certain death, or be a mercenary at his command. With no choice but to accept, our girl Ana will steal, fight, and kill her way to salvation. Her survival depends on a dangerous posse comprised of an impulsive assassin, a bombmaker, and an exile who might just ruin her. Somewhere along the way, she gets caught between who is the villian and who is the hero. (Trapped between the two, ooooh.) She's left trying to decide which side may be worth dying for.

Romance, yes please.

This Book Made Me Think of You - Libby Page

Release date - February 3,2026

Goodreads Rating - 4.49/5 with 649 Ratings

Ok, do you remember the absolute devastation that was P.S. I Love You? Imagine that, but with books as the letters? *sobs uncontrollably*

Tilly Nightingale's (love this name BTW) fiancé Joe, died five months ago. Her local bookshop called her to let her know her book was ready for pickup. She's shocked, because it's a gift from her late fiancé? What is this gift you ask? Twelve carefully chosen books from Joe. Each book is carefully selected to help her "turn the page" on her first year without him. (are you joking?? the tears won't stop.)

Tilly sets out on a reading inspired adventure around the world. She decides to vlog her journey. With the push from Joe, help from Alfie at the bookstore, and now the following she has gained online, Tilly finds her way back to herself, and maybe how to love again. (can't stop, won't stop the tears)

There are so many books being released in February! Which I'm clearly excited about, but will I ever catch up? No. Do I even want to? Also no. These are the few for this release day that I will be adding to my TBR.

If you need help curating your TBR- let me know. I can create a custom TBR just for you based on your reading history, and mood! Check out our shop!

Ok, with so much love, I'd like to go read my book now, so I'm signing off.

Tiffany
